Frequently asked questions
I don’t have the time
It’s not about having the time, it’s about making the time.
We all have the same 168 hour per week.
It's what you do with your time that counts. When you plan your time out, timeblock and schedule your website design in to your calendar, you will make it happen.
Remember, if you do the most important things first (the things that are going to help you grow your business... yes, like a having a professional website!), then at least they get done and even if the rest of your day goes to pot.
Also, I help to keep you accountable which helps you feel organised and in control.
I don’t have the money
A professionally designed website is an investment, yes. But there will come a time when you need to move from a DIY website to a more professional one, if you want to grow your business and get taken more seriously online. Think about how many new clients you need to attract to pay off your website. And how many more opportunities will come your way once you have a more professional online presence. Speak to me about payment plans, it's also possible to pay your website off over 3 months.

I’m afraid (of failure, change, the unknown)
I hear these limiting beliefs all the time.
The process of building a website may feel daunting at first, but it doesn't need to be! A good place to start is to read my blog
How To Build A Brilliant Small Business Website
And remember, it’s completely normal to feel like an imposter or fraud. Everyone goes through this to some degree.
One of the best ways to overcome imposter syndrom is to
P.S: You can’t mess things up, because I’m guiding you through the process step-by-step. There are plenty of opportunities during this process to review and change things so you’re 100% happy with the end result... even if you don't know what you want to begin with.
- I’m scared of putting myself out there
I'm worried about what people will think
I’m scared of messing things up
I don’t know what I’m doing/ I'm not technical enough
I’m confused – should I do this or something else?
Here are your options:
Keep things as they are:
If you keep things as they are, you can't expect different results. Part of being an entrepreneur and small business owner is that you need to constantly change and adapt your offerings. This is how you grow and evolve over time.
Focus on social media (and forget about a website):
Relying solely on social media is like building your business on someone else’s land. Yes, there is room for social media marketing and it is great for building brand awareness, but ultimately you should be using social media to drive traffic to your website. Once your ideal client lands on your website, you want them to take an action (sign up to your mailing list, buy a product or service etc). A simple sales funnel that works is way more effective at bringing in money than a large number of Instragram followers.
Build your own website:
Absolutely, if you can then I recommend going for it! It's a fun process, and if you follow my guide
How To Build A Brilliant Small Business Website you'll be well on your way. You need to have a good eye for design though if you want it to look professional.
Getting your website professionally designed:
Finding the right person to help you bring your vision to life might feel scary, but having a professional website that attracts clients and turns them into paying customers is the shortcut to success!
I'm not ready yet
If you wait until you’re ‘ready’, you’ll never get started!
How long have you been thinking about building your website (or re-doing it)? The longer you wait, the longer it will take.
Clarity comes from taking action.
The process we work on together will move you from feeling confused and in a muddle to being crystal clear about what you need your website to do, what you're offering, who it's for and what your message is.
Starting off with a blank page is good! And progress is better than perfection... we polish and perfect things once we start adding things to the website
What if I don’t like it once we are done?
Nope, never happened.
This is very unlikely because we work through a process that eliminates that.
Client Questionnaire is thorough and I ask you so many questions that inform the styling and structure of your website, including asking you to pick your favourite 3 templates, and share your favourite 3 websites.
During the process there are plenty of review sessions for you to give your feedback so you can make changes to the design as we go, ultimately resulting in a website you love
