What I wish I knew about mindset before I launched

One of the things I wish I'd known before starting a business is just how important your MINDSET is, especially when you're juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship.

It took me 2 years to realise that mindset is the number one priority when starting a business. Its the make-it or break-it

There are books, podcasts, blogs, vlogs, masterclasses, courses, memberships, group coaching programmes and even 1:1 support out there.

The secret is to try things out, figure out what works for you and then implement it.

I could rattle off a long list of entrepreneurs I've followed and learned from over the years. Each of them have helped me with different aspects of my business. And what they all have in common was that at some stage they believed they weren't good enough.

I'm not ready to do this thing, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm worried I'll mess things up, I'm worried people will judge me, I'll look like a fraud.

These limiting beliefs hold so many women back. They hinder our growth, and stop us from moving forward in our business - and life.

It's okay not to have everything figured out before you begin. It's okay to not know what you're doing. It's okay for things not to be perfect.

I love this chart above. Can you identify where you are? Acknowledging that you're in the fear zone, that its normal to lack confidence, feel like an imposter, and worry about what people thing. Only once we've moved through the fear zone can we learn and grow.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. You have permission to practice imperfect action. Because progress is better than perfection.

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS...

Here are some of my favourite resources from across the web. My all time favourite podcast right now is Soulful MBA. At the time of writing this, I know the hosts (Sandy Connery & Jeni Barcelos) are bringing it to an end in it's current form and next week they're launching an all new podcast (I'm chomping at the bit about this one, obvs, and just can't wait!).  But Soulful MBA have such brilliant podcasts, totally binge-worthy and inspiring and real. They've helped me gain such focus and clarity in my business. My favourite (and slightly controversial) podcast from them is The Value Of A Wife. I also recommend all podcasts in their Financial Intelligence series, such as What You Focus On Grows.
